Tips for communicating during emergency situations
- Use Text Messaging instead of trying to place a call
- Limit non-emergency calls, whenever possible
- If unable to place a call, wait 10-15 seconds before dialing
again
- Use your camera phone to record damage for insurance purposes
- Add an ICE (In Case of Emergency) number to your wireless phone's address book. Under the heading, ICE, put a phone number for a relative or friend police or paramedics should call if you are involved in an emergency situation.
