HILLIARD, Fla. - Alltel Internet service is now available in the Hilliard area.
"Alltel's Internet service provides quick and easy local access to the Internet at rates competitive with national providers," said Jerry Ryan, area manager for Alltel's communications operations. "Alltel is a leader in delivering Internet connectivity and that combined with our other communication services, available conveniently on one bill, is why our customers stay connected."
Alltel is offering an introductory package of the first month of service free, with no activation charge. Standard unlimited Internet rate plans are $21.95 per month or $19.95 per month when combined with other Alltel services.
Alltel Internet customers receive Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator browser software; up to five free personal e-mail accounts; Microsystems CyberPatrol software, which provides an option for site blocking based on content; and a toll-free customer support line available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Alltel Internet service provides dial-up and dedicated access services for individuals and businesses. Web hosting and Web site development services are also available, including the ability to add electronic commerce options.
