Want to keep your number when you switch to Alltel? Wireless Local Number Portability (WLNP) allows you to switch carriers while keeping your existing phone numbers within the same geographic area.
How it Works
When you bring your phone number with you to Alltel, it's referred to as porting. With WLNP we can port a phone number from one wireless service carrier to another wireless service carrier.

What To Do
1. Check to see if your number is available for transfer by calling an Alltel representative at 1-866-alltel7.
2. Call or come by an Alltel store to bring your current number to Alltel. There's no need to contact your current carrier.
3. Bring in your current carrier statement and account information to speed up the process. We'll initiate the port request and activate your number on your new Alltel wireless phone. Upon completion of the port, your service with your former carrier will be automatically terminated. That's it!*
