Important software update for Alltel PC5750 data card

 

To resolve a connectivity issue and ensure that your data card works correctly, users of the Alltel PC5750 data card must install an important update. This update will correct connectivity issues that can be experienced when the data card is used while traveling outside of the Alltel network. If your datacard is not updated, you may have trouble connecting once upcoming network updates are complete.

How to update your PC5750 data card:
To ensure a successful update of your PC5750 data card, please follow the steps outlined below in the order they are listed:

Step 1:
Download the AlltelPC5750Update.exe file. It is recommended that you save this file to your laptop before installation.

Step 2:
After the download has completed, double click on the file. This will initiate the update for your data card. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup. This will:

  • Update the firmware (device software) for your PC5750 data card
  • Update to the 40007 PRL 
  • Update the QuickLink Mobile dialer
Step 3:
You may be prompted to restart your system. Be sure to save your work before you click OK. Once your laptop restarts, double click the Axcess icon for QuickLink Mobile to complete the installation.

After the update has been installed successfully, your PC5750 data card should be ready to use.
