Alltel unveils new corporate logo symbolizing commitment to customers

April 22, 2005

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Alltel today unveiled a new corporate logo, the first revision to the company's symbol since it was adopted in 1983.

Scott Ford, Alltel's president and CEO, noted that the company's new logo will have a more contemporary look and will allow for use of a broader color palette.

"Today we are introducing a new symbol that better positions our company to compete amid the dramatic changes taking place in our industry while preserving our essential character," Ford said. "This new logo represents what Alltel stands for: a company that promises to be an ally for our customers by treating them in a friendly, fair and respectful way."

The new look was unveiled as more than 600 Alltel employees assembled to build a living logo on the company's campus.

Alltel is a customer-focused communications company with more than 13 million customers and $8 billion in annual revenues. Alltel provides wireless, local telephone, long-distance, Internet and broadband services to residential and business customers in 27 states.
