Important voice mail announcement
To accommodate the growing number of Alltel customers in the Lynchburg, VA area, the wireless voice mail system in your area will be upgraded Friday night, April 27th, 2007. The upgraded system will provide customers with the option to choose either English or Spanish when setting up their personal voice mail. Please take note of the following instructions and dates to avoid any possible disruptions to your voice mail service.
Setting up your new voice mail on Saturday, April 28th:
- Dial your 10-digit wireless number from your wireless phone.
- Press "#" during the system greeting.
- Then enter the default security code "9999".
- Select Option 1 for English or Option 2 for Spanish.
- Follow the instructions to select a new security code and record your name and greeting.
Please note that you must finish the voice mail setup tutorial in its entirety before you can use the new system.
Listen to your messages on the old system from April 28th to May 11th:
- Dial your voice mail number.
- Enter security code to access your voice mail box.
- Once inside the voice mail box, press 3 to listen to old messages.
- Follow voice instructions.
Please note you will not be able to transfer messages to the new system. Please write all important messages down before May 11th. On May 12th, the old voice mail system and dial in numbers will be deactivated.
