Traveling overseas? With an international SIM card, you can make calls and stay connected with e-mail and Internet right from your BlackBerry 8830 World Edition.

To purchase a SIM card for your BlackBerry 8830, you have two options:

  • Purchase a card before you leave: Call Alltel's international partner, TravelComm, at 1-800-436-0235 to purchase or rent an international SIM card before you leave for your next trip. TravelComm lets you make pay-per-minute voice calls and provides unlimited BlackBerry e-mail and connect to the Internet when overseas. In addition, a TravelComm card is the recommended way to use BlackBerry e-mail and Internet connectivity. See a list of countries covered by TravelComm. To get started, call TravelComm at 1-800-436-0235 with your credit card handy, at least two weeks before you leave for your trip.
  • Purchase a card overseas: SIM cards are available for purchase overseas. In most cases, BlackBerry e-mail and Internet connectivity are not available with cards purchased overseas. See a list of countries where SIM cards for international calling are available for purchase.
